LFWSS15 – Day 2

Day 2 of London Fashion Week – LFW – reminds me why London is one of the most stylish and fascinating cities in the world. There was glamour sure, and quality and sophistication and tailoring, of course, but there’s also a lot of quirkiness and Fun! There’s a lot going on today, with a packed roster, and continuing my essay into liveblogging, we’ll start to look at some of the ideas and trends thrown up by the dazzling display that is British Design. Standing at the crossroads of European and international culture, with its melting pot of styles, languages and even cuisines, London can’t help but be cutting edge. Every nationality seems to be represented there, and one thing’s for sure, wherever you travelled from: Leeds or Lima, if you live or work in London, you’re a Londoner. You belong. That’s one of the things I really appreciate about the city, the more places I visit, it is a place that allows everyone to feel at home. Sprawling and throbbing with life, with each area having a distinct flavour and even tongue (try chatting with an EastEnder, then a Kings Road dweller, or shoot the breeze on art with a dude from Hoxton or even West London (okay, you might call them Hipster, but in London, that term has no sting: it’s a compliment), when you’re done with all that, go for sunday brunch with a chap from Richmond. You’ll see what I mean.

The Day began on a luxurious, serene and calm note with Brazilian Barbara Casassola.
